The legendary 10 pounds of leather and gold, the NWA World’s Heavyweight Championship, comes to New England Championship Wrestling as part of a first-ever “best of seven” series of title bouts on Friday night, June 8th as NECW debuts at the Knight of Columbus, 582 Bedford St, Bridgewater, MA with an 8 PM bell time.
The event, titled STRONGER THAN HURT, features a main event that is part of series of matches taking place across the country, as the NWA (National Wrestling Alliance) World’s Heavyweight Championship is being contested in a “Best of Seven” series between current champion, Colt “Boom Boom” Cabana and former champion, “Scrap Iron” Adam Pearce. The match will be the 2nd bout in the series and will be a “Boston Street Fight.” Cabana won the first match in the series on May 13th, defeating Pearce in a First Blood match.

Stage One: May 13, 2012 – NWA Hollywood – Glendale, CA (Cabana wins over Pearce in a First Blood Match)
Stage Two: June 8, 2012 – New England Championship Wrestling – Bridgewater, MA – Boston Street Fight
Stage Three: July 7, 2012 – Steel Domain Wrestling – Hopkins, MN – I QUIT Match
Stage Four: July 21, 2012 – Metro Pro Wrestling – Kansas City, KS – Best 2 Out of 3 Falls
Stage Five (if necessary): August 4, 2012 – NWA Legends Fanfest – Charlotte, NC – TBA
Stages Six and Seven, if they become necessary, will be announced as scheduled.
In other bouts announced for NECW’s STRONGER THAN HURT, a huge six man tag team war is scheduled as the current NECW Tag Team Champions, All Money Is Legal team with former NECW Heavyweight Champion, Slyck Wagner Brown to take on the Mill City Hooligans – Chase Del Monte and The Logan Brothers.
After taking a pinfall loss in a non-tile match last month, World Women’s Wrestling Champion, Alexxis Neveah defends her coveted red and gold belt against Adrianna.
“The Statement” Elia Markopoulos, managed by “Mr. Fabulous” Tony Ulysses squares off against former NECW Heavyweight Champion, “The Real Deal Brandon Locke.
Julian Starr battles the veteran star, Johnny Thunder in a return grudge match.
Plus the super heavyweights collide, as the 7 foot plus Giant Pharoah goes one on one with the monster Apocalypse, and “The Italian Superman” Tony Delfonzo returns in action.
