Last week’s long awaited rematch between former NECW Heavyweight Champion, Slyck Wagner Brown and the Canadian Sensation, Jeremy Prophet went past our TV time. We kept the camera rolling and this week you’ll see what led up to the point we went off the air last week, we’ll bring you the dramatic conclusion of this match and the shocking aftermath that leads to Friday night’s big event in Randolph, MA!

On the very first episode of this New England Championship Wrestling series on April 4, ( see at this link – http://youtu.be/Of0n78wuT7w ) we saw a classic match up between former NECW Heavyweight Champion, Slyck Wagner Brown and the Canadian Sensation, Jeremy Prophet. The match went the full 15 minute time limit with no decision and an additional 5 minutes with no decision.

This week it’s the long awaited and highly anticipated rematch with NECW Heavyweight Champion, Antonio “The Promise” Thomas looking on. Don’t miss what will go down as one of the greatest matches in NECW history!

A STORM BREWING

Over the course of the last several months, a storm has been brewing among the competitors of World Women’s Wrestling. That storm has been centered around Mistress Belmont. On multiple occasions, gift-wrapped packages containing weapons have been delivered to ringside during Belmont’s matches and chaos has ensued. The only thing that has become clear during this time is that, in the eyes of Mistress Belmont, winning has taken a backseat to wreaking havoc on anyone in her way.

The first time a present was delivered to Belmont, it was Luscious Latasha, who hasn’t been seen since, who suffered the consequences. Belmont’s second special delivery, a pair of brass knuckles, were attempted to be used against Kasey Ray, who fortunately escaped injury that night. In the rematch between Belmont and Kasey, seen last week on New England Championship Wrestling and with the decree that no packages be delivered to ringside, a gift bag containing Belmont’s signature whip was hidden under the ring.

For those of you keeping score at home, Kasey Ray now holds two victories over Mistress Belmont via disqualification. Again, it seems as though Belmont doesn’t particularly care if she wins or losses, so long as she inflicts punishment on her opponent. Kasey, however, does care, and she’s not satisfied with winning by disqualification. She wants to prove that she can score a decisive victory over Belmont. Not to mention that she wants another piece of Belmont for the attempted weapon attacks.

This Saturday night when NECW makes its debut in Beverly at War on the NorthShore, Kasey Ray will be taking on Nikki Valentine. The interesting thing here is that, if you recall, back in April at Bouts For the Scouts, a package was delivered to Nikki during her match with the World Women’s Wrestling Champion, Alexxis Nevaeh. Nikki made it very clear that whether or not she was involved with Mistress Belmont was none of anyone’s business. On Saturday, it will be Kasey Ray’s business. Kasey will be clearly looking to send a message to Belmont, but she will need to be aware of any possible present-related shenanigans.

All of this still leads to one very important question. Who is responsible for these packages? On the occasions where gifts have been delivered to Mistress Belmont and Nikki Valentine, they at least appeared surprised by them, suggesting that someone was sending to them without their knowledge. The most recent incident with Belmont finding the bag stashed under the ring, however, suggests that she had prior knowledge and has some implicit involvement at this point. And let’s call a spade a spade, Belmont is just bonkers enough to have the gifts sent to herself, so it could just be her behind all of this. As of now, we don’t have the answer, but this Saturday night could potentially bring us closer to one.

From there, we take a look back at Mistress Belmont, beginning with highlights of her brutal war with Luscious Latasha that sent her packing from the area, as well as highlights of the controversial match with the debuting Kasey Ray that led to officials calling for a rematch.

That rematch is this week’s feature match as the former World Women’s Wrestling Champion, Mistress Belmont tries to put aside the challenge of the dynamic Kasey Ray.

Out With the New and In With the Old?

On the latest edition of New England Championship Wrestling, Johnny Thunder defeated “Juicy” Justin Corino to capture the NECW Television Championship. While we’ve seen a new side of Thunder over the last few months, we saw a glimpse of the old Johnny Thunder in this match. Before we get to that, we do need to set the stage.

If you recall, on the prior week’s episode, in his semi-final match, Thunder scored a victory over “Sensational” Scott Levesque. But after the match, Levesque ambushed Thunder and did serious damage to his arm. Thunder headed into the finals at far less than 100%, while his opponent Corino, had picked up an easy win against Nick Fahrenheit, relatively speaking.

Corino took full advantage of Thunder’s injury and dominated much of the match. As the match wore on, and Corino couldn’t put Thunder away, the frustration began to mount for the New Jersey native. That frustration turned to carelessness and gave Thunder the opening he needed. The veteran Thunder hit a double-leg takedown into a cover and, with the help of the ropes for leverage, got the 3-count to win the championship.

After the match, with Corino in the midst of a temper tantrum, the new champion had some advice for his adversary: “Cheaters never win.” Adding insult to injury, if you ask me. Now, I don’t doubt that if Corino had the same opportunity that Thunder did, he would have taken full advantage of the situation in the same manner that Thunder did. You can’t argue that, at least on this occasion, Corino has a legitimate claim to being robbed.

Reaching into his old bag of tricks, it’s clear that Thunder is still willing to do whatever he feels is necessary to get the job the done. Maybe the injury to his arm and the stakes of the match resulted in a desperate man resorting to desperate measures. While you can’t really condone the blatant breaking of the rules, you can maybe understand why Thunder resorted to it. The question that needs to be asked is this: Was this a case of desperation or a return of the old Johnny Thunder? We’ll have to see what path the new Television Champion walks from here.

We begin by taking you to unique match up as two former best friends go head to head. Former NECW Heavyweight Champion, Slyck Wagner Brown collides with Beau Douglas and when the bell rings, friendship ends and business begins.

From there, it’s the final match in the 4 man tournament to crown a new NECW Television Champion as “Juicy” Justin Corino battles Johnny Thunder. The title, which has been vacant for just over two years, will end up around the waist of one of these two men!

The debut event entitled “WAR ON THE NOTHR SHORE” will feature 3 championship matches.

NECW Heavyweight Champion, Antonio “The Promise” Thomas, who is a former WWE star, will defend his title and has signed an open contract.  “I will proudly defend my title in Beverly against any qualified contender and look forward to seeing all the fans in the North Shore area who have been supporting us,” said Thomas.

The NECW Tag Team Champions, “Superstar” Scotty Slade & “The Shure Thing” Mark Shurman have been ordered to defend their titles once again against top contenders Mike Webb & Nick Farenheight, this time in a “Texas Tornado Tag Team Match.”  In this match there are no count outs or disqualifications and all men can be in the ring at the same time.  In addition to an NECW referee, former ECW Official and Peabody native, “The Extreme Enforcer” Paul Richard, will be a special enforcer at ringside for this match.

In addition, NECW Television Champion, Johnny Thunder puts his title on the line against “Sensational” Scott Levesque.

In a special World Women’s Wrestling Feature Match, Kasey Ray takes on Nikki Valentine.

There will be two more matches to be announced and matches presented on this night will be taped for television.
