New England Championship Wrestling’s BAR WARS made its debut on Saturday, June 25 on the outdoor patio at Michael’s Pub in Tyngsboro, MA.
Taka Sazuki defeated Chase Del Monte
The fast paced opener, in which the advantage switched back and forth many times, saw the upstart Taka Sazuki pin the veteran Chase Del Monte. Del Monte showed a vile side which shocked the crowd on hand, as Taka offered his hand and Chase grabbed it and pulled him right into a stuff piledriver. The fans were stunned as Del Monte taunted them on his way back to the locker room.
Rock 101 radio personality and host of his very own PFG-TV, Scorch came out to introduce himself and talk to the fans. As Scorch was mentioning the card, he was interrupted by the unexpected arrival of The Dynasty of Champions – DC Dillinger, Brian Fury & Sean Gorman. Scorch tried holding his own as Dillinger & Gorman verbally taunted him. Scorch, who does have an injured neck, became a little worried as Dillinger & Fury started to approach him with bad physical intentions. This brought out Matt Taven & Julian Starr to even up the odds. Dillinger, Fury & Gorman made a hasty retreat back to the locker room.
Mistress Belmont defeated Taeler Hendrix
In a great, intense battle of these WWW stars, Mistress Belmont finished off Taeler in devastating fashion
Nick Farenheight & Chris Neil defeated Elia Markropolis & Dollar D
Great tag team action saw the up and coming tag team of Farenheight and Neil work exceedingly well en route to victory. Elia Markropolis made a strong case for a contract with NECW based on this break out performance.
Apocalypse defeated B.A. Tatum
This match was really intense prior to the bell ringing. A ring attendant accidentally stepped in the path of B.A. Tatum en route to the ring, and it did not end up well. Tatum hit the attendant with a huge right hand that saw the attendant drop to the ground in a heap. As Tatum made it to the ring, he was met by the equally intense Apocalypse and the two battled toe to toe throughout the Michaels pub complex. These two used anything not nailed down to try and gain the advantage. In the end, Apocalypse took the victory with a big sit out powerbomb.
Matt Taven & Julian Starr defeated DC Dillinger & Brian Fury
The shocking combination of former enemies, Dillinger and Fury, worked very well as a tag team in their debut together in NECW. Sean Gorman made his presence felt throughout the match. Julian Starr has taken a bad spill out to the floor. As he was coming back in, he caught Brian Fury with a sunset flip. As Fury was going down, Sean Gorman stuck his hand out to assist Fury in scoring the 1-2-3. Just then, Scorch advised referee Rob Teutel of Gorman’s actions, and Teutel restarted the match. A stunned Dillinger & Fury turned into some tandem offense but the fiery Taven & Starr took the fall and the victory, after double frog splashes from the top.
