New England Championship Wrestling kicks off 2014 with a “can’t miss card” in SNOWBRAWL, on Saturday night, January 11th at the Cove Community Center, 19 East Corning Street in Beverly with a 7 PM bell time.
With NECW Heavyweight Champion, Sean Burke refusing to grant a rematch to former champion, Antonio “The Promise” Thomas and filing a legal action to prevent that match up, NECW GM Paul Richard granted a well-deserved rematch to another former champion, Slyck Wagner Brown. The added twist is that in order to keep things from getting out of hand, Paul Richard named Antonio Thomas the special guest referee! It will be an intriguing match up as the undefeated current champion faces SWB with the gold on the line.
NECW Tag Team Champions, “That Guy” Scotty Slade & “The Shure Thing” Mark Shurman take on former champions, the men they won the titles from, Mikey Webb & Nick Farenheight.
New NECW Television Champion, “The Masshole” Mike McCarthy defends his title in a rematch against former champion Johnny Thunder.
World Women’s Wrestling Champion, Mistress Belmont with Miss Sammi Lane faces newcomer Davienne in a non-title match.
In other matches, “Canadian Sensation” Jeremy Prophet battles Brad Hollister. “Asylum” Nick Shepherd faces Genesis. Plus, “The One Man Lynch Mob” Jack Maverick in action and Tony Ulysses makes a special announcement.
